What KelCommerce does
- For every paid order of a business customer (with a VAT number), it generates an XML file in the Peppol BIS Billing 3.0 format (UBL).
- Download the file from the order page (Pro and Business plans) or through the API (
GET /orders/{id}/peppol.xml, Business plan). - The invoice number is assigned the first time the file is generated: one series per shop and year, without gaps (2026-00001, 2026-00002…).
- It carries your VAT rates, discount codes, shipping costs and exempt intra-Community supplies.
- Both parties’ Peppol identifier is derived from the VAT number (in Belgium: the enterprise number, scheme 0208).
What KelCommerce does not do
- No sending on the Peppol network. KelCommerce is not a Peppol access point: you send the file with your invoicing tool.
- No receiving of invoices. Your suppliers’ invoices arrive in your own Peppol tool.
- No credit notes yet. For a refunded order, issue the credit note in your invoicing tool.
Sending the invoice
- Choose an invoicing tool or Peppol access point that can import a UBL file.
- In KelCommerce, open the order and click “Generate the Peppol file (XML)”.
- Import the file into your tool: it sends it to your customer on the Peppol network.
Tools that import a UBL file
A few tools whose documentation covers importing an existing UBL file (checked in November 2026). KelCommerce has no partnership with any of them; prices and terms on their websites.
| Tool | UBL import |
|---|---|
| Billit | Import the file in the app, or e-mail it to your Billit address: it is then sent on Peppol. |
| B2Brouter | Manual file import; a free offer exists for a small number of domestic invoices per year. |
| Peppol Box | Belgian tool; XML import is available from the Starter plan. |
| Banqup | Upload PDF or XML files in the portal, and an API for larger volumes. |
